That's a very bad conclusion based on just associating wires color with output without looking at the actual unit as well as not knowing what the engineering standards are. The assumptions based on wire color are Absolutely WRONG. 12v 18 AMPS is also a hard Limit based on UL94v fire safety standards. Power supplies are not a single spec of WATTS or a single rail of 12v. If you look at the Power Supply Label you will clearly see it DOES HAVE 12v Standby. I already KNOW that the advice is absolutely WRONG due to saying 6 pin has no 12v Standby. There is no such thing as a straight thru cable. There is No Such Standard for SIX or Eight or M might have more information. Unfortunately some go so far as to say its ATX and its not. Is that correct? I understand pinnout location is different for both plugs. MODDIY appears to just eliminate/not use the purple 12v standby line on the 8 pin Dell plug. It appears this MODDIY cable takes from the 8 PIN DELL ps cable the two grounds/common the t wo 12+ power wires, the g ray 5v/PWR_OK and the green 5v/PS-On and re-pins them to different locations at in the DELL 6 plug. I am just trying to make the same cable that same as MODDIY does.
